Midwifery is the root of reproductive health - and the blueprint to justice. It is the backbone to healthy communities and families. Its our spine. Centering midwifery is a call to action to the attempt of erasure and dilution of truly holistic practice of care. It is a practice in action – for midwives and the people who hold them up.
A space for midwives to nourish themselves & clear their water, without extraction so we can continue fueling each other, our communities and the movement.
This movement is rooted in honoring all midwives.
We recognize and uplift Traditional Midwives, Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs), Certified Midwives (CMs), and Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs).
We remain grounded in the truth that the knowledge shaping modern midwifery has deep roots in the wisdom, practices, and generations of care cultivated by Black and Indigenous midwives.
