Welcome to the Queer and Transgender Midwives Association

(QTMA)

QTMA was created for midwives and student midwives who identify as LGBTQIA2S+.

QTMA Mission: We are dedicated to supporting and representing LGBTQIA2S+ midwives and student midwives as they train and grow as providers and people. We provide educational opportunities, advocacy, community and tools, all grounded in an intersectional ideology and framework.

QTMA Vision: We envision a world where all LGBTQIA2S+ midwives and student midwives have the resources and representation they need to thrive in practice and in their community.

QTMA is thrilled to host midwifery Peer Review for those who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ practicing across the country! We meet via ZOOM video conference every other month and focus on a different theme each session.

Together, we workshop cases and provide feedback and resources for one another on topics ranging from emergencies in out-of-hospital setting to well-person care.
